Yet another week of predominately great fishing weather. It's certainly been the most settled summer we've seen in a very long time.

There's plenty of fish around, although their feeding times have been quite erratic, so it's been a mixture of skill and luck of the day how many are coming aboard.

Quite possibly it being so settled, is some of the reason they are fickle, no real imperative to feed hard.

We had a few day trips, one at the Pinns, where we had a good start and good finish but slow in the middle. The Penguins similar, good start then slowed down for the rest of the day.

A hapuku trip to Mayor saw the crew have a good evening fish, some nice snapper and tarakihi being caught.

The next day we did well on bluenose and gemfish, nothing overly big, but good numbers and more good conditions.
