Another week of varying fortunes with the quantities of fish caught from day to day. Last Monday was a slow day, due as per usual to plenty of current, Wed. was good, a limit day for the more experienced.

Wayne had a hard start on Sunday with barracuda and fussy fish feeding, but moved east and got onto good tarakihi.

We've been mainly working around the Brewis, Lab and Motiti areas, it means a bit more steaming but if they're off at one place they're quite often on at one of the others.

We're starting to pick up the odd decent snapper, and starting to get some skippies trolling on the way out, the first we've seen in close this year. I wouldn't mind if we saw a few less 'cuda, though, they've been a persistent aggravation for the whole summer.
