Another week of excellent fishing, hard fishing, no current , heaps of current -- and all on the same day on occasion. We did have a full moon and some big tides, but even so, it's been fairly extreme.

After having a good run at Motiti it hardened up quite a bit early in the week, pretty slow fishing despite trying quite a few spots.

We gave it another go on Wed, but it was harder still, so we went to the Lab and ended up with some good fishing.

Friday we tried Brewis and the Lab again, really good initially, but after lunch the current picked up, literally in a minute or two, and that was that. We tried in closer and picked up a couple of stragglers but they'd done their dash.

The weekend was too snotty to go, quite strong S.Easterlies, which also killed the last day of the One Base, still an improvement on last year.
