There were a few nice days midweek, so we headed out around Brewis Shoals, stopping at various places on the way, all of which produced tarakihi and some snapper. So with flat sea, sunshine and no wind, a good easy day. Next day conditions were near identical so we did an identical run out, stopping at all the same places we had on Wed. The shallower spots had nothing, deeper was a bit better, but we had to go quite a bit further before we got onto more keen feeders. The tallies were similar, just more looking needed. Friday/Sat. were too rough, but Sunday we did the same run as midweek, just to see, and had a pretty hard day. Not too bad at first, but got harder and harder, we went deeper again, then worked into the shallows off Omanu, no difference anywhere. The current increased through the day, probably a factor, but who can be sure.
