Nice to get a few days in in the last week, we had a good day on the Thursday, pretty much a limit day for the tarakihi, with the odd snapper as well. They were mainly males, as the bigger females are a bit quiet at the moment, they tend to feed harder a little later in the season.

Saturday was a bit snottier, so we worked around the middle ground in the morning. The usual result, a great deal of not very much. Things settled weatherwise so we went outside Motiti, but things were still pretty slow in the deeper water, a fair bit of current, just a slow day.

Sunday started calm, but slopped up as we went further out, and looked grim for a while, but typical S.E. dropped away and by midday was lovely.

No current, and good fishing again. Better size tarakihi and more snapper too. So 2 out of 3 was good.
