Well, we're finally back in the water, and at least got one day in over the weekend.

Saturday we had a look around the middle ground, not bad sign but the fishing was pretty painfully slow, so we headed around Motiti and did quite a bit better. Mainly tarakihi, the snapper we were getting before pulling the boat have moved off to parts as yet unknown, but we did pick up a couple, and  some trevally. Typically, when it was time to go they  started to come on a bit harder, but time constaints meant we couldn't  stay.

Sunday's forecast, was iffy enough to cancel, the wind didn't come as quickly as expected, but there was plenty when it did.
