Another quiet week , with plenty of fronts, highs and lows rolling across the Tasman. We got a couple of trips in, one on Thursday was a bit different, we got pretty well all snapper, and only about 6 tarakihi for the day.

A lot of current or  ground swell meant the fish sign was well off the bottom with the result being not a lot of fish caught.Still a bit odd though, normally with current the lines are running at a fair angle but not really this time, another mystery of the sea. We ended up at the 10 mile, and got onto quite good amounts of snapper there, which saved the day somewhat.

On an overnighter to Mayor Fri/Sat,with some of my long time regulars, the Northpower boys, we had a good start on Friday evening with good snapper being caught but things got pretty windy for a while Sat morning,. Luckily the wind dropped and we ended up having a good day on the tarakihi  and later got back onto the snapper, so Mayor's still going  well at present.

May's certainly  giving us lots of weather, come on June[I hope].
