A bit more unsettled weather this week meant we canned a couple of days, but got most of Easter in.

Saturday was beautiful weather and we got off to a good start with some nice snapper in the 30-40 metres.  We went deeper around the Brewis Sh area when the snapper moved on, and got onto tarakihi, with the odd mako keeping things interesting. Things slowed as the current picked up, but a few shifts kept us on enough tarakihi to keep things ticking along.  An excellent day with a good group.

Sunday, similar conditions, and similar fishing. We had a look around the Middle Ground, but very slow, tried outside Motiti. Some nice tarakihi came up but slowed down as the current picked up, not uncommon around the full moon.

A quick turnaround and an evening fish saw good snapper and trevally catches, a positive side of the full moon and fishing around Mayor on Monday we did well on the tarakihi after a couple of false starts. Also had another marlin free jumping out from Crater Bay and a couple more makos hanging around stealing the odd fish. Good entertainment though.
