Another pretty good week fishing-wise.

A bit more current around, which has tended to make the feeding times a bit shorter but still very good fishing when they’re on.

A mid week overnighter around Motiti with some of my long time regulars started badly when Gerard hurt himself, I forgot Colin and had to go back nad pick him up and we saw nothing caught all evening and night as a S.E. was stronger than forecast and pretty sloppy.

Still that was the group of 3 done with and it eased the next day and we ended up with a good catch, predominantly tarakihi, which helped make the night before abad, distant memory, except to Gerard, it didn't slow his fishing down much tho'.

Another overnighter, to Mayor this time,with Trevor and the Northpower guys, and we had an excellent evening on snapper and beautiful conditions. Saturday a sloppy easterly sea made things a bit harder but we eventually got onto the fish – mainly tarakihi, with some nice trevally and snapper amongst them.
