Well, April certainly turned into a bit of a hell month.

We got a couple of days in at least. Friday was very nice, fishing was a bit slow at first but after a bit of moving around, we ended up with quite a good amount. Mainly snapper and red snapper with a few tarakihi.

The Tarakihi have continued to be hard to find, with normally productive areas pretty ordinary.

The snapper and red snapper are abundant though, with a few trevs there and kingies (mainly rats) adding to the mix.

Saturday was pretty similar, the wind had come up and it was a bit sloppier, but a pretty similar day otherwise.

The rest of the week has been rain and wind (in case you hadnt noticed :-)

Not much of a week for fishing, wind and rain, followed by, rain and wind.

We pulled the boat out for a bit of maintenance and paint - well due - and have achieved not a lot.

Yes, if the farmers wanted the drought shortend they should have paid me to slip the Manutere 3 moths ago, I would gaurantee rain within 24 hours. It's sad but true folks.

School holidays coming up, so it'll probably continue for another couple of weeks.
