We've had a fair bit of wind, presumably equinoxal, in the last week, so once again a fairly quiet one. We had a day trip on Wed. which was also fairly quiet fish wise.

Conditions were quite good, but the sign was well up off the bottom all day and things ticked along pretty slowly despite a lot of shifting around.

We got an overnighter to Mayor in, but with a new moon the night fish was pretty scratchy, a few tarakihi and snapper.

The next morning we had a bit of a tarakihi hit, nothing great, and then went hapuku drifting, and got nothing, not even a scarpy.

So, we went to the Penquins and picked up a few more tarakihi and a couple more snapper.

Not one of the all time great trips, but the weather wasn't too bad, I suppose.
